Today I walked in my garden and a smile crept over my face. I have to thank you mum for the daffs all over the place You planted the bulbs in my garden Over a number of years And as I look at there bright yellow heads I have to fight back the tears For the love you bestowed on my garden You also gave to us all With plenty of care and tenderness No task was ever too small You’d sing and hum as you worked Your beauty touched many a life Your smile would brighten the day Your presence blessed all of our lives Thank you for being my mum For the guidance and patience you showed For the memories will live on forever Even though your absence is felt
